Goan Mackerel curry | Bangdyache hooman 🐟 This Authentic Mackerel curry taste so good when paired with hot rice & fried fish on the side. ▪️Recipe- •3-4 Mackerel fish cut into med size pieces •1 cup freshly grated coconut •4-5 Kashmiri dry red chillies •1/2 tsp turmeric powder •1/2 tsp garlic or 4-5 small garlic pods •1/2 cup water to grind ▪️Other ingredients •10-12 Sichuan pepper •Salt to taste •4-5 kokum sola •2 slit green chillies •1/2 inch ginger crushed •more water to adjust the curry consistency ▪️Method- *Clean the Mackerels and cut them into 3-4 pieces, Apply salt and keep aside for atleast 20 mins , wash again and keep aside *In a blender, add grated coconut, kashmiri dry red chillies, turmeric powder,garlic pods & blend together by adding 1/2 cup water to a smooth paste. *In a kadai, add the ground paste, add little water in the blender to get the leftover ground paste, add that water to the kadai, adjust the consistency,add salt, sichuan pepper, kokum sola, slit green chillies and mix . *Add the cleaned mackerel pieces, give it all a good mix & cook till the curry starts bubbling (4-5 mins) or till the mackerel gets cooked. *Switch off the flame, add salt if required. *Goan mackerel curry is ready.
