Let's watch a Great Lakes freighter come through the Canal in Duluth, MN! This is one of the biggest attractions in downtown Duluth 😀. ‍ I was hanging out at Canal Park, not expecting to see a ship come through. But there it was, surprise 💥! It took about 4 minutes for it to come through the canal and go under the Aerial Lift Bridge. ‍ 👉This is the Joseph L. Block, based out of Chicago. In 1976 she was built to haul steel around the Great Lakes. Now her cargo is primarirly ore and limestone to supply the Arcelor Mittal mills and various docks around the lakes.
