As we wandered amidst the towering Himalayas, our family of five stumbled upon an Italian haven at the JW Marriott Mussoorie Walnut Grove Resort & Spa, The Wisteria Deck. Under a canopy of whimsical wisterias, we, along with our little explorers Rehras, Aad Sach, and Rut Suhavi, were transported to a quaint Italian countryside right in the heart of mystical mountains. The scenic vista of the Himalayas painted a serene backdrop as we seated ourselves amidst the rustic yet elegant setting. The ambiance was a medley of soft murmurs from nature and the gentle clinking of fine china, setting a magical scene for the evening. As the evening unfolded, the culinary mastery of Chef Amitesh Virdi took us on a delectable journey through Italy’s heartlands. The wood-fired pizzas were a riot of flavors that danced upon our palates, while the pasta was a melodious tune of authentic Italian essence. Each course was a new verse in this gourmet narrative, and the final sweet note of tiramisu was the perfect crescendo. The curated Mocktails, recommended by the sommelier, added a touch of sparkle to our conversations, making the evening feel all the more enchanting. The gracious hospitality showcased by the General Manager, Mr. Anoop Pandey, and the warm welcome extended by the Director of Sales and Marketing, Mrs. Guneeta Duggal, painted a picture of earnest care and meticulous attention to detail. As we bid adieu to the night, with hearts filled with joy and bellies filled with Italy’s finest, we knew this was a dining experience that would be narrated in our family’s lore for years to come.
