When the world is overwhelming — we are calling for Justice; yet those under control of a horrible spell keep cutting down trees; murdering innocent people; and polluting the waters and the air…what can we do ? How can we grow as a community and make statements that matter? These are elements that were deeply considered in the most recent #AKTIV8Portal 6: Angel Music for the Weelaunee Forest. As @aktiv8.cre8ive continues to emerge as a cultural resource hub, we think a lot about the present and future states of sacred knowledge. In this performance piece, AnAkA vibrates the Highest vibrations of her Angels into the earth, the trees and beyond. In honor of her Ancestors from the same lands, AnAkA stands upon a place where she prays and ritualizes just as her people have been doing for many, many generations. Without their prayers, songs and dances, AnAkA knows she would not be here today. Continuing this tradition is both a right and a responsibility.
