Set realistic goals: It is important to set realistic goals that align with your current fitness level and capabilities. Pushing yourself too hard or aiming for unrealistic expectations can lead to overexertion and potential long-term consequences. Find a coach to help you set achievable goals that take into account your individual needs, health and limitations! Please find a prep coach who has experience in coaching girls for competitions not just a PT or friend from a gym .. 2. Focus on sustainable practices: Rather than resorting to extreme measures such as crash diets, excessive training, taking shortcuts supplements try to emphasise sustainable practices that promote long-term health & well-being. This includes following a balanced nutritious diet, training plan and allowing ample time for rest and recovery. 3.Embrace a well-rounded approach: “Prep brain” is real. A healthy approach to fitness competitions involves more than just following diet & training plan. It is important to prioritize your mental health and emotional balance as well. 4. Surround yourself with support: Building a strong support system is crucial when participating in fitness competitions. Most prep coaches will help you with support you need. Surround yourself with supportive friends and family members who understand and encourage your goals. Join bodybuilding networking events ( I run several events during the year around London and Birmingham) where you can meet other competitors and professionals from bodybuilding industry. 5.Remember the true purpose of fitness: It is not all about the PRO CARD “ 🙈 While striving for success and recognition in fitness competitions can be motivating, it is essential to remember that the true purpose of fitness is to enhance overall health and well-being. Focus on the positive impacts that regular physical activity and a balanced lifestyle can have on your life, rather than solely fixating on winning.. #competitionprep
