MONTE CRISTO W/ STRAWBERRY JALAPEÑO JAM   This recipe takes the Monte Cristo Sandwich and turns it up a notch with our homemade Strawberry Jalapeño Jam for a MUST-TRY EXTRA CHEESY, EXTRA DELICIOUS SANDWICH! RECIPE BELOW!   Ingredients: -Bread of choice -Butter -Mayonnaise -Ham -Turkey -Havarti Cheese -Strawberry Jalapeño Jam   Strawberry Jalapeño Jam Ingredients: -250g fresh strawberries, chopped -1 tbsp fresh lemon juice -4 tbsp coconut sugar -1 jalapeño, diced -1/3 cup water 
Directions: 1.     Add strawberries, lemon juice, jalapeños, water and 2 tbsp of coconut sugar to a small pot and bring to a boil while breaking up strawberries with utensil of choice (we used our wooden spatula) 2.     Once boiling, reduce to low/medium heat and cover for ~8 minutes occasionally stirring to prevent burning 3.     Remove lid and increase to medium heat 4.     Add remaining 2 tbsp of coconut sugar and continue to stir an additional 2-3 minutes for coconut sugar to dissolve, and continue to break up larger chunks of strawberry 5.     Remove from heat at 10 minutes and continue to stir for an additional few minutes (jam will continue to thicken) 6.     Place in container of choice and cool in fridge (serve cold) 7.     Prepare sandwich to preference and melt cheese/toast bread in skillet (butter each side of bread) 8.     Add jam to preference (the more the better!) 9.     ENJOY!   SHARE WITH A FRIEND WHO WOULD LOVE THIS CHEESY SANDWICH!   Food Sources: -Havarti Cheese (Rumiano *gifted) -Artisanal Bread GF (Plantiful Kitchen *gifted) -Strawberries (Driscoll’s) -Jalapeño (Whole Foods) -Butter (Vital Farms) -Coconut Sugar (Big Tree Farms) -Ham and Turkey (Applegate)   #montecristo #jalapeno #sandwich #easyrecipes #cleaneats #cleaneating #simplerecipes #lunchrecipes #ham #turkey #glutenfreerecipes #buzzfeedfood #buzzfeedtasty #recipeideas #glutenfree #homemade #jam #strawberry #cheese #cheeselovers #gowALLin
