ARTIST: #TakeshiYasura⁠ EXHIBITION: "Questioning the Purpose (shushi) of Seeds (shushi): the ground is still alive in Jingumae"⁠ VENUE: #OnSundays⁠ ⁠ Yasura is a multi-disciplinary artist that explores the nature of existence. This exhibition featured both archival material about his "Still Alive" site-specific installation (2022) at #RebornArtFestival (where he reclaimed land from an area in #Ishinomaki that had become landfilled since the 2011 Earthquake and recreated a "still alive" garden), a work-in-progress garden in an empty lot across from #Watarium, and newly created work from clay and silt retrieved from those areas.⁠ ⁠ The work available for sale include #StartrailPortNFT tags by #Startbahn that track provenance on the blockchain.⁠ ⁠ Thank you so much to KW and EW for kindly walking me through the exhibition!⁠ ⁠ __________⁠ #thistooisart #powerofart #onlinearthistory #anartworkaday #artkeepsgoing⁠
