It’s crazy to think that 6 years ago I was packing up my little Honda to move out to California, and now I’m on my way out to the other coast. It’s been a time of great reflection for me, a time of big feelings. What can I say about my time in San Diego? Too much to put into one post. It was a big risk. I pushed myself out of my comfort zone and chased after a dream, knowing I could fail. It taught me a lot about myself and what I’m capable of. I got to train with one of the best teams in the world. I had to grind. I had to struggle to get by. There were a lot of sleepless nights and times when I didn’t know where the money would come from. I shed a lot of tears, on and off the mats. I experienced the euphoria of victory and the crushing weight of defeat. I learned so much. I learned how to keep going when I wanted to quit. I learned how to dig deep, how to find the light in dark places. I learned how to believe in myself. I learned what’s really important to me. Thank you so much to @galvaobjj and @atosjiujitsuhq for believing in me and welcoming me into your family. It’s hard to put feelings into words sometimes, but suffice it to say that you changed my life and I will always be grateful for that. ❤️ #Atos
