We Stay Celebrating The 50th Anniversary of Hip-Hop All Month Long! As we cook up new episodes of @fresherapodcast and @smootherapodcast, we wanted to commemorate this moment by posting some of Stupid Fly’s greatest Classic Hip-Hop moments. Aside from being one of the most identifiable & original sounding MC’s from the Golden Era, Smooth B (Nice N Smooth) is also one of the greatest storytellers of all time. The dude walked into our offices strapped with two orders of shrimp tempura sushi and about a million tales about his journey to the top. We just sat back while he entertained us for over FOUR HOURS! Before Nice N Smooth, we learned that Smooth started out as Bobby Brown’s right hand man back in the height of his career as a solo artist (My Perogative, Don’t Be Cruel, etc). We also learned that Bobby wasn’t afraid walking around 80’s Manhattan with a gang of jewelry on, but it was until this moment that he discovered why Smooth was such a valuable addition to his team.. Please, someone needs give this man his own talk-show, documentary, cartoon…whatever!
