✨ YUNA UPDATE ✨ * WARNING- GRAPHIC IMAGES* After such a touch-and-go start, this gorgeous lady is going from strength to strength and showing us her mischievous personality on a daily basis 🐒🫶🏼 (Slide 2 is a reminder of the state she was in when she was rescued 😣 but continue scrolling to see her looking like a completely different dog!!) Her skin is healing up really nicely but she still has 2 deep pressure sores (one on her hip and one on her elbow) presumably from when she was incapacitated on the street being munched on by maggots 🥺🥺 Surgery will be required to close these wounds but we need to wait for the granulation bed to fill in a little before we proceed on that front. Normally these kinds of wounds would be dressed however Princess Yuna has other ideas and just will not keep the bandages on 🙄🙄 (to be fair, they are in tricky locations so we’ve had our fair share of slippage too!). As you can imagine, a huuuuuge part of our patients’ care is TLC (not just medical) and Yuna is receiving the very best from our dedicated team of Animal Care Assistants- Rosie (as seen getting her face sat on by Yuna here 🤭), Caoimhe, Thushari, Pasindu and Chathuri 💛 We are so fortunate to have such a dream team to provide a safe and loving space for these guys to recover from their traumas 🥹 We’re on the home stretch with Yuna (we hope!!) and there’s NO WAY we could have gotten to this point without your support; thank you so much for funding part of her care 🙏🏼There’s still a bit of a chunk to cover so if anyone is getting excited by payday then please do share the love- Yuna is oh so grateful to you all 💛💛 ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ #animalrescue #veterinary #vet #dogrescue #charityvet #vetstudent
