God’s plan is always better than my plan. One thing I’ve learned over and over again is that the universe will knock you on your ass when you least expect it repeatedly throughout your life. I have been knocked down so many times in my life that I have developed a warrior spirit. I don’t allow myself to ever fall into a victim mindset or to feel sorry for myself for too long. That’s because I have developed a strong enough faith muscle through all my spiritual battles to realize that the challenges always serve me. The challenges build my character and force me into a deeper alignment with my truest values. This wave of shock and grief hit me when our non-verbal autistic son Mason was rushed to the ICU with a 575 blood sugar and diagnosed with type 1 Diabetes at age 5. Yes, I cried for a full day with him in his hospital bed. Yes, the next day I decided to choose faith over fear. Yes this is a challenge and yes we got this because it is making myself and my family even stronger. Life is designed to teach us all the lessons that require us to feel all the emotions. The pain and the struggle is where we find the beauty, humility and the gratitude for the simplest pleasures all over again.💜✨✨ There’s no such thing as a life that’s better than yours.
