WHERE WE WENT WEDNESDAY 🚐: Our final week in Alaska was quite an adventure. My sister-in-law and mother-in law came to caravan with us. However, the entire week rained and poured. Then, my mother in law got sick. We spent a lot of quality times in our vans. It continued to rain as we traveled to Katmai National Park to see the bears! We had a campground at Brooks Camp near the famous Brooks Falls. We fell in love with the bears running the area. They’re so fun to watch in their natural environment. I spent hours just watching them try to catch fish. We also got to adventure to the Valley of 10,000 smoke, which was the site of the largest volcanic eruption in history. The landscapes were stunning which made hiking in pouring rain for hours worth it. Although, we loved the bears the rain and cold soaked us to our bones. I don’t think I got warm the entire weekend. Despite the rain and crazy events, we had the best time with our family and we fell in love with Katmai. We are already talking about returning! Alaska, we will miss you!
