✨ Saw this trend but wanted to make it about body confidence instead because I’m seeing too many women day to day, back to pulling the T-shirts over the bum, talking about their bodies and hang ups out loud to others! We’ve gone back to our old habits now life has resumed to normality but the growth we made about battling beauty standards are still there and I strongly believe in how you act and show people who you are is what people see! I always remember a moment that sticks in my mind of this happening, a friend years ago wouldn’t remove their shorts around the pool becuase they hated their thighs, constantly saying how much “I can’t I hate my thighs so much” so after days of this they finally removed their shorts and straight away what did our minds tell us to do… Look at her thighs she’s been hiding and hating. So not only did her thighs look completely normal as all bodies are normal! They actually did the thing they wanted to avoid the most which was anyone to notice their thighs instead everyone focused on them. We all have own hang ups about certain body parts or something on how we look we wish we could change but so does my size 6 friends who go to the gym and eat healthy, it’s human nature to be critical about ourselves and the more you project the things you love about your body and your looks, the more others will only focus on them! Long winded explanation and some GCSE year 9 drama acting but I hope in this heatwave it makes you stop and think about how your words about yourself show others what to see!
