From @ronfilipkowski at @meidastouch video from @therecount ; At an event today during question time, a man who identified himself as an Air Force veteran said Florida’s new wide open gun laws and hostile environment towards minorities created the environment that led to the racially-motivated mass shooting. Desantis interrupted the man repeatedly and lost his mind again, screaming and yelling at the man and using the crowd to drown the man out. My commentary; Desantis said that our state here in Florida is really safe and down on crime! Yet, time and time again, we are seeing that it is NOT safe if you are Black or Brown. It is NOT safe if you are gay or transgender. It is NOT safe with our lax gun laws. The way desantis treated this veteran isn’t shocking, this is how it is here. Racism is allowed to run rampant and it is not called out by our governor. This will lead to MORE violence. Enough is enough. White women: 58% of you Florida white women voted for this man.
