Anti-trans extremists and their political supporters have been busy spreading hate for political gain. Their proposals are a blatant attack on trans people. Their proposals put lives at risk. 𝗪𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝘄𝗻𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗿. At the Federal Conservative Party Convention, members voted overwhelmingly to support banning lifesaving trans-affirming care and to exclude trans women from women’s spaces. Trans women are women. They do not need permission to be in spaces meant for them. 𝗪𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗴𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀-𝗮𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴. On Friday, Premier Ford mimicked talking points from the radical right, calling school board policies in place to protect trans and gender-diverse youth a form of indoctrination. 𝗪𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗳𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻. We’ve fought long and hard for the right to exist. We know your hatred well. We’ve faced it for years.
