Chilli Jam Haloumi 🌶 🧀 Try this little spin on the chilli honey haloumi for your next brunch! Super quick (10-15 minutes) and easy and all done in the same pan - all you need to do is fry off your haloumi, make a quick version of a thai-inspired chilli jam and combine! Recipe 👇 Ingredients 250g haloumi 2 Tbsp neutral oil (e.g. vegetable) 2 birds eye chillies (sliced) 2 cloves garlic (minced) 1 tsp ginger (minced) 2 tsp tamarind puree 30g honey 1 tsp fish sauce 2 Tbsp water Method 1) Slice the haloumi into thick slices (you should get about 6-7 slices). Pat dry. Set frying pan over medium-high heat and add oil. When the oil is hot add the haloumi and fry for about 2 minutes on either side (or until golden brown). Remove haloumi from heat and set aside. 2) Using the same pan, turn heat down to medium and add sliced chilli, garlic and ginger. Fry for 2 minutes to release their flavours. Add in the tamarind puree, honey, fish sauce and water and stir. Simmer for about 3 minutes until it starts thickening then turn off the heat.
