Instead of the eye having a perfectly round shape it can have a slightly irregular shape more like a oval. This irregular shape causes light to scatter and cause blurry and streaky vision. 🤷🏽‍♀️ 𝐖𝐡𝐲 𝐃𝐨 𝐒𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐏𝐞𝐨𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐇𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐭? Astigmatism can be caused by a combination of genetic factors and environmental influences. It’s not a disease or something you “catch” from others.
