— 𝟑𝟎 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞?? I’m starting to really understand the meaning of “Black Don’t Crack” because babbyyyyy.. if another person is shocked that I’m turning 30 next week I’m going to scream. Lol I used to get upset when a patient would call me “𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠”, tell me I look like I 𝐉𝐔𝐒𝐓 graduated from high school, or that I could be one of their grandkids 🙄… I always thought they were being disrespectful or trying to undermine me. And honestly, they might have meant it in a disrespectful way but I’m so confident in who I am as an optometrist that I pay it NO MIND. I just say “Thank you! So how’s your vision?” Lol. 𝐃𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐥𝐨𝐨𝐤 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐚𝐠𝐞? 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭? 4 days until my 30th Birthday 🥳 and I’m feeling so good! #AskDrNish
