As the co-founder of @sustainablestylecompany, I am so proud of our Orange Shirt Initiative in honour of National Day for Truth & Reconciliation. This day holds immense significance for me, as my own family has been directly impacted by the legacy of Residential Schools. My grandmother and great grandparents attended Residential Schools, enduring unimaginable hardships and facing the erasure of their culture and identity. Their experiences have left an indelible mark on my heart, fuelling my commitment to make a difference. Our orange shirts are not just a fashion statement; they are a symbol of solidarity and a tangible way to actively address the intergenerational trauma caused by Residential Schools.
