🧀🫕🍯 This Wednesday is National Queso Day. We like queso. You like queso. We like you. Here’s what you need to know: Valencia’s Tex-Mex Garage at The Domain is offering a FREE regular queso with an entree purchase for every table Kerbey Lane is donating proceeds from every queso purchase to Keep Austin Fed Jo’s Coffee has a happy hour from 4-6pm where you get FREE chips and queso with the purchase of beer or wine Chuy’s offers $5 Chips n’ Dips during their happy hour from 3-6pm, and their queso goes crazy tbh P.S. Eater wrote an article listing “12 Amazing Queso Spots In Austin” and included Eldorado Cafe, Fonda San Miguel, Kerbey Lane, Posse East, Maudie’s, Better Half, El Alma, Tacodeli, Matt’s El Rancho, Magnolia Cafe, Curra’s Grill and Torchy’s Tacos Our favorite queso, sometimes, is the Bob Armstrong Dip at Matt’s El Rancho. Idk what it is man but it slaps, and that’s on the melty cheese gods. Mandatory companion drink: two knockout martini shakers, sorry. Depending on the day, we also love Chuy’s, Gabriela’s and even Fresa’s sometimes (we get the flautas and dip them in it). El Chile’s goes crazy too. We even used to order the Gloria’s queso way too much (stfu) but they left DT and only have a Domain location now. Smmfh. Maybe we just love queso idk. BTW Austin’s queso fest, Quesoff, is BACK for 2023 at Mohawk — November 12th from Noon-3pm. Tickets coming soon, and see the link in the @quesoffatx bio if you want to enter to compete.
