Edible Zombie Brains🧟‍♂️Follow @chefgenevieve for 30 Halloween inspired recipes #halloweenfood #halloweeninspo #zombiebrains Ingredients: 3/4 cup Clamato juice 3/4 cup water 1 pack Knox gelatin 1/2 lemon, juiced 1/2 tsp salt 2lbs shrimp, cooked, shelled (tail off) and deveined For serving: 2 cups cocktail sauce Toothpicks Equipment: 1 plastic brain mold Plastic food wrap Cardboard Directions: To a pot combine Clamato juice and water, sprinkle on 1 packet ok Knox gelatin and allow to sit five minutes to allow the gelatin to bloom. Turn on the heat to bring to a simmmer, add lemon juice and salt. Once gelatin is dissolved set aside to cool. Line a plastic brain mold with plastic wrap. Layer shrimp in the brain mold with the rounded part facing down and tail facing up. Continue layering until you’ve reached the top. Using a piece of cardboard, cut to fit the top of the mold then wrap with plastic wrap. Use the cardboard cutout to firmly push down on the shrimp to make sure the shrimp are tight together. Remove cardboard and poor your cooled gelatin mixture over the shrimp. Make sure the liquid does not exceed the height of the shrimp. Place the cardboard cutout back on and refrigerate for a minimum of 5 hours to allow gelatin to set. Once set, flip over and remove brain mold and plastic wrap. Serve on a platter or on a decorated mannequin head with a side of cocktail sauce for your guests to pick at and eat his brains 🧟‍♂️🧠👻 Enjoy!
