Few are willing to get their hands dirty, and do the dirty things necessary to feed those around them. As outdoors men and women we have a moral obligation to not just talk about what the outdoor community and industry should be like, but be individuals of stewardship, and character to show the generations before us, and after us what it should be like. I hear a lot of talk about how the “good old days are gone”, and that social has ruined the outdoors. I disagree wholeheartedly. I believe the tools we have, have just been used in the wrong way. The only real thing I see we are lacking is leadership in the space willing to stand for what is right, willing to do the work, Willing to speak up even when their voice shakes, to hold those around them to a higher standard, and have fun along the way. We all share the same woods and waters and it’s up to us to be individuals’ of character who help get others involved, and show those around us what it means to be a good human, a man and a woman who is not in it merely for their own personal gain,but for the gain of entire outdoors’ community.
