🧒 Bring your own little art critics to MUNCH this fall and explore every corner of the museum. 👪️ Looking for activities to keep the little ones entertained during autumn? We’ve got you covered! Here at MUNCH, we have a packed program with fun and engaging activities for the little curious minds. Here is a list of open-ended questions you might want to ask when exploring Edvard Munch’s art: 💬 What do you like about this painting? And why? How does it make you feel? 💬 What is happening in the scene? 💬 Which picture would you like to sign with your name? 💬 Which of these artworks could you give to your best friend, and why? 💬 Play a game of I Spy, or challenge each other to pose like a line or a shape in a piece of art 😱. Activities for children inside the exhibition spaces: 🐭 Meet Mr Storm in the peepholes by following the mouse paw prints. Where: Floor 7, in the exhibition Edvard Munch Shadows. 🎨 Create your own prints using the ancient technique of frottage. Where: Floor 7, in the exhibition Up Close. 🖌️ Search for the discovery tables that include natural materials used in the processes linked to Munch’s monumental paintings. Where: Floor 6, in the exhibition Edvard Munch Monumental. 👀 Discover hidden stories inside the walls. Where: Floor 4, in the exhibition Edvard Munch Infinite. Preparation is key: 👉️ Ask for “ Mind Cards “ at the reception when entering MUNCH. The “ Mind Cards “ contain tasks to solve as a family, but also short introductions about the exhibitions and questions to discuss together. 👉️ Before your visit, talk with your kids about what’s on to build their excitement. Plan your visit together. 👉️ Explore the galleries at your child’s pace. 👉️ I want to hold your hand: Please keep children within sight at all times. 🥙 Our café @muma.munch located on the ground floor offers a range of hot and cold food and beverages. 🔗 Experience MUNCH on the children’s own premises.
