When you think paint to sample I would imagine many of us result in thinking of some of those bright and vibrant shades Porsche offers. While for the most part that is true, for this Sport Classic the exact opposite is true. At this point, the Sport Classic has officially been phased out. It is truly one of the most stunning cars they have produced over the years, and personally I do think it will age exceptionally well. With it being a heritage car however, the standard color palate was very limited. As standard, one could select Black, Gentian Blue Metallic, Sport Grey Metallic, or Agate Grey Metallic. Of the four colors available as standard, not a single shade was white. But this Sport Classic is white. Paint to sample Pure White to be specific. Now, I know many of you will be confused as to why someone spent paint to sample money on a shade of white, but personally I do find it pretty cool. It’s something different and unique for the Sport Classic while when you look at any other model it would be a standard no cost option. Additionally, the owner, @aimotorsports, ordered this specific color to match the rest of their collection which features multiple vehicles, all of which are finished in a shade of white. Now for this build: the exterior features the traditional Heritage Design Decals with the no cost Personal Start number, alongside the Exclusive Design taillights. The Sport Classic stripes are an interesting touch here as those are no longer included as standard when selecting a paint to sample finish. It is said that only six paint to sample cars were allotted to have painted Sport Classic stripes, while the other paint to sample cars which feature them include decals. While I’m uncertain which one this example features, I would lean towards them being decals because there are already three or four other examples I can think of which include painted stripes. However, please correct me if I’m wrong. A brief look into the interior shows the Black Leather selection with the leather trim pieces and the cooled seats.
