I’ve never loved my body more than I do now after housing and nourishing 2 children. I’m in awe of her. My love for my body is finally true. I don’t have to force it, it just is because my children came from me and they are the greatest creation (in my eyes). Your body will work for you when you give it what it needs. This isn’t about aesthetics, losing fat, being fit ect. This is about health and longevity! Nourishing your body into balance. Forget the scales. Focus on REAL health markers: fertility, ovulating monthly (having a healthy period), making sure body temp is warm, your pulse is strong, hands and feet are warm, your appetite is strong, your mood is good, your sleep is sound, your skin is clear, your focus is good, your temper is cool, and your poop is regular. DON’T get hung up on the things that aren’t even true health markers *like being skinny*. I am 6 months postpartum with my second baby and I’ve slowly and steadily NOURISHED myself back to balance. I have focused on consuming nutrient dense and supportive pro-metabolic foods, having a surplus of nutrient stores and minerals to replenish my body, sleeping as often as I possibly can, getting lots of sunshine and red light therapy, daily movement, proper supplements, supporting my thyroid and hormones (keeping stress low), walking and being outside in nature, and enjoying this precious time with my babies. I’ve successfully maintained good health through the most natural stress it the female body was created to endure. Through pregnancy and postpartum I have given myself nutrients upon nutrients, never cut corners, and always put my health above my own criticism. This has payed off big! I’m balanced, I’m not in pain, I experienced no ill postpartum symptoms, and my body is strong. I am here to remind you what our bodies CAN do when we support them. I’m here to tell you- you NEED to eat, you NEED to sleep, you NEED to be patient, and you NEED to stop doubting the process (and yourself). Give yourself grace. Forget the short gains, focus on what you want out of your body for the next 20+ years. #postpartumjourney #motherhoodinspired
