Children are simply not wired to share until age 3-5. Instead of teaching them to share at an early age, we can teach a similar concept such as taking turns. 🔅 Use taking turn language (my turn, your turn, mommy’s turn…) 🔅 Sit with the child and play a game that requires taking short turns. (Such as rolling the ball back and forth or alternating tags would do the trick.) 🔅 Don’t give in easily. 🔅 Don’t force taking turn when the child is playing with it. 🔅 Take time to practice with them, bring turn-taking into daily activities.
