Leather Cocktail Coaster 2.0 ___________ A few years back I got tired of always looking for a coaster, so I made a cocktail coaster for the bottom of my glass. But as you can see, it’s seen better days and I’ve learned a lot since then, so I decided it was time to make a new and improved version. The design is pretty simple, measure the bottom with an extra inch extended on each side, then cut the corners off so there’s a clean seam at each corner. On the first one, I stitched all four corners with a really tight fit so it would stay on, but that made it difficult to put on the glass. So this time I decided to stitch two of the corners and then use rivets and snaps on the other two to make it easier to put on and off. And of course, I had to use my DIY sand etched logo snaps I posted about a week or so ago. And just like that I had a new and improved built-in leather cocktail coaster.
