(sold) posted last week about the history of Spagnoli angora sweaters--and have one more listed today. A 1953 (exactly!) button-up pullover in a really unusual shade of peachy terracotta. It's also a large, which i rarely see. (41" bust, unstretched--and would stretch a few inches, of course). even though Spagnoli doesn't specify the exact angora content on their tags, they used a 70% angora, 30% wool blend--it's in the ads. Angora sweaters usually use a wool %, bc it's literally what holds the sweater together-- angora fibers are so slippery that it's hard to make sweaters out of them, you need the microscopic barbed fibers of wool to literally cohere the yarn/garment. anyway too much about fabrics lol #vintageangora #luisaspagnoli #1950sangora #1953 #1950sangorasweater #vintageangorasweater #1950ssweater #vintagesweater #1950sfashion #vintagespagnoli #vintageluisaspagnoli
