👩🏻‍🎨 Anyone else approach their paintings in a nontraditional way? Besides the canvas, nothing used on this painting was bought from an art store. Truth is, I ran out of acrylic paint. We were painting the interior of our home at the time so I just used the leftover house paint 😵‍💫 It’s a risk when you’re not sure of the medium but it’s all part of the fun of exploration. 🤗 Also, I’ve never liked paintbrushes. It takes away my intuitive control. So I opted to work on the floor instead of the easel & drizzled the paint on..yes literally threw the paint on! For blending I used my hands & a good old fashioned kitchen knife. Had the best time creating this piece. House paint may be considered a no no in the art world but I say use whatever works.
