Important Pedaling Technique tip for beginner cyclist. I still see many people on the road riding with their knees out. You want to avoid doing this. By correcting this, you will make whatever level of your effort convert to more speed with better pedaling technique. If you find yourself making this mistake, use these cues below to help you correct this form. Cues 1. Make sure your hands, core, glutes, and feet are properly engaged. I’ve got several tutorials up on my page for all of these. If you’re still struggling with glute engagement, I’ve got a pelvic mobility course with @TeamEFCoaching coming out at the end of the month that is just for you. 2. From the externally rotated position in the femur/ pelvis joint, rotate your knees internally into alignment, but don’t over do it by bringing the knees all the way into your top tube. Try to imagine your legs being as straight as possible where you could have a straight line from the back of your glute to the ball of your foot. 3. If you are still struggling, seek out the best bike fitter in your area, as sometimes your position on the bike could be promoting this. But, make sure the fitter is legit… there are plenty of bad bike fitters out there promoting bad postural habits, so be aware of that. #TeamEFCoaching #CyclingTips #PocSports #raphacyclingclub
