7 Day Trips to take this fall from Boston to New Hampshire. Looking to see some foliage this fall in New Hampshire but don’t want to spend the night? Here’s 7 day trips you can take. I’ve actually done each of these 7 drives in the same day and back. I think they are all worth it and you can definitely pair multiple places on this list in a day. Driving time is from Boston without traffic. 📍Meredith (1 hour, 40 minutes). Nestled on the northwest corner of Lake Winnipesaukee, this is a favorite. There’s a lot to photograph here, some nice restaurants and shopping and one of the best farms in New England, Moulton Farms. These are still my favorite cider donuts. 📍Kancamagus Highway (2 hours). This is the longest trip on the list but worth it. We drove the Kanc our first year living in Boston and it was incredible to see so much foliage and variety. I high recommend doing this drive on a weekday, if possible. 📍Canterbury Shaker Village (75 minutes). 700 acres to explore on this 19th century Shaker community. Historic old buildings, tours and this is a great place for portrait or engagement photos. 📍Lake Sunapee (90 minutes). Nestled in the shadows of Mount Sunapee and Mount Kearsarge, Lake Sunapee is ringed with state parks, small villages, covered bridges and churches. 📍Chocorua (2 hours). On one of my first New England photos trips, I was aimless driving around. A local suggested I check out Mount Chocorua. I had no idea how to pronounce it or what I would find. What I found became one of my faves in New Hampshire. Lake Chocorua is gorgeous and the small town park offers a lot of photo opportunities. 📍Wolfboro (1 hour, 45 minutes). The oldest summer resort town, Wolfboro is also situated on Lake Winnipesaukee. Nice local shops and wonderful photo ops. 📍Portsmouth (1 hour). This coastal gem has everything you could want. Great food scene, lots of shopping, waterfront views, parks, historic buildings and classic New England charm. #newhampshirefall #fallfoliage #fallinnewengland #newenglandfall #fallinnh #bostondaytrip
