When Gus meets Peter the Crocodile in season 2 of @sweettoothnetflix which came out earlier this year. @fracturedfxinc was tasked with building this beautiful VFX-hybrid creature, we also designed and created Gus as well. Peter is a full creature suit with a puppeteerable head extension. The performer’s head was exposed outside of the suit to keep the silhouette as close to a croc’s profile as possible, around human anatomy. Actor’s head was then digitally removed in post production. Again, I worked with @lucanemolato to illustrate this character with us. Luca has been our lead illustrator for all of the animal-hybrid characters Fractured FX created for all seasons of Sweet Tooth.
