It’s a funny thing … starting something so hard , so momentous and terrifying, every step carefully and quietly taken so you can start living loudly .. the resiliency of my children have nothing short but humbled and impressed me. Encouraged me to keep going… For them … the trauma that pours out of them at the breakfast table like it’s casual conversation, the staggering weight of the fear they carry, the hurt they’ll have to fight their whole lives to recover from… the maturity and patience they’ve shown as we navigate all new territory together. I have had so many people asking “What about you?” But to be honest … it’s never been about me. It’s like my mind can’t even process that question. I have no needs but to see them thrive. Freely . Easily.
