What is civilization? We often disregard the reality that “live” backwards has a powerful progressive culture with a strong hold over the impressionable youth of today. There was nothing that exceptional about the shopping experiences available at the ghetto malls of Fulton St/ Dekalb Ave, 125th or Jamaica Ave. These hubs were merely community based safe spaces that provided an intimate escape for popular urban youth to get part time work, shop and network before the territorial violence escalated post free base. Originality meant absolutely everything back in the days and unfortunately we now live in the times where shark biting is celebrated as inspiration, go figure. Kane and Biz were all about originality kids and that element of artistry was the most cherished among the pillars from the town. Kane’s fashion sense was unlike anything we saw prior and we all know where the truck gold was on full display in Medina. Brother Biz we have all intentions of finishing what we discussed champ. What you celebrated on the classic tune in 88 was much more about shopping, it was all about the special community we cultivated there at a special time in Nueva York history. The Juice Crew Albee connection was sealed when you and Kane set it off at Mays.
