The past few days were the last days for two employees who have been part of our work fam for quite a while. Madison started with us four years ago. MarieBette was her first job. When she started with us she had no idea how to fill out her work paperwork and was super shy and quiet. Now she’s a boss in life and work and it has been an honor to watch her grow as an employee and a person. She has been a kind and calm presence at the shop, training employees and providing a welcoming experience for customers. She is now headed to Zambia with the Peace Corps and we are so proud of her. Aidan started coming MarieBette with his family as a customer when he was about ten years old. When he was eleven or twelve his mom told us he tried making our lemon ricotta pancakes at home and loved to cook and maybe wanted to work with us when he was older. He did. He started with us when he was fifteen and, at 18, is one of the most dependable bakers we have. He is headed to college in Colorado.
