Trigger warning: discussions of miscarriage. 🌈 To be honest, I contemplated wether I wanted to share what’s been going on recently or wether I should keep it to myself. My mind kept saying ‘keep it to yourself, it’s too private to share, it’s too raw and you’re too vulnerable’. While all of that is true, I knew that keeping this to myself and carrying on regardless was never going to work. Why should I feel like I can’t talk about something so important in my life? If you’ve followed me for a long time, you’ll know that I’ve always shared the highs and the lows. Talking about hard times and hearing about others experiences is always a huge comfort for me and in doing this I hope to help myself and also help families out there who are going through the same thing yet feel completely alone in their thoughts. Miscarriage / pregnancy loss is something that isn’t spoken about anywhere near enough. It’s something that’s seen as ‘taboo’ and it’s something that can make women who experience it feel ashamed and inferior. This needs to change. This is the second baby Jack and I have lost. When I was pregnant with Caleb, we lost his twin. My entire pregnancy was filled with anxiety that I would lose him too. I thank my blessings every day that we have our beautiful rainbow boy as I know not everyone is so lucky. However, it still doesn’t take away from the pain of losing a baby. The minute you find out about them, they consume your world. You instantly picture yourself in 9 months time holding them in your arms. To have that taken away isn’t and never will be easy to deal with. To our angel baby - we will always wonder what could have been. I recently saw a quote that offered me some comfort which said ‘how nice is it to think that one day when you go to heaven, someone you’ve never met will have been waiting for a cuddle from their mummy’. Until then, you’ll always be in our hearts. 💔 . . #miscarriage #miscarriageawareness #miscarriagesupport #miscarriagesurvivor #babyloss #pregnancyloss #pregnancylossawareness #pregnancylosssupport #angelbaby
