✨Vegan Deep Dish Pizza✨ I’m from Chicago and we loveee our deep dish pizza here🤤 I’ve always wanted to create my own vegan version and since deep dish pizza is half cheese, the most important thing is to find the best vegan cheese. So of course I used my favorite from @violifeus 🤩 I used so many of @violifeus ‘s amazing dairy free products in this recipe, from their cheddar slices and their mozzarella shreds to the parmesan and plant butter. This recipe turned out soo amazing & if you have never tried deep dish, I hope you make this🤩 ✨Dough Ingredients 1 3/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup cornmeal 1/2 tsp salt 1/2 tbsp sugar 1 tsp instant yeast 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp warm water 1/4 cup melted Violife Plant Butter ✨Tomato Sauce Ingredients drizzle of olive oil 1/2 medium onion (grated) 2 cloves of minced garlic 2 tbsp tomato paste 1 can of crushed tomatoes (500 g / 17.6 oz) 1/2 tsp oregano 1/2 tsp basil 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp sugar ✨Toppings Violife Mature Cheddar Slices Violife Mozzarella Shreds fresh spinach Violife Parmesan ✨Equipment 9-inch pan (I used a springform pan) ✨Directions Add the dough ingredients to a stand mixer and mix. It’s important that the water is not too warm, so it doesn’t kill the yeast. It should be 120*F-130*F. Once you have formed a ball of dough, add the dough to a bowl, cover it with a towel, and place in a warm spot for 1.5 hours. To make the filling, add olive oil, grated onion, and minced garlic to the pan and cook for 2-3 mins. Add the tomato paste, spices, and a can of tomato sauce. Cook on low heat for 30 mins, until thickened. Once the dough has doubled in size, grease the bottom of the springform pan with vegan butter. Place the dough in the springform pan and shape it.
