😅 Talk about up and down! 🪫 It’s true, hormones really do have a huge impact on women’s energy levels throughout the menstrual cycle. 📊 Let’s break this down into the four phases: Menstrual Phase (Days 1-5): hormone levels, particularly oestrogen and progesterone, are low, leading to lower energy levels, fatigue and possibly mood changes. Follicular Phase (Days 6-14): oestrogen levels gradually rise, associated with increased energy, improved mood and mental clarity. Ovulation (Around Day 14): oestrogen levels peak, potentially contributing to a surge in energy, confidence and overall wellbeing. Luteal Phase (Days 15-28): progesterone levels increase, leading to a decrease in energy levels for some women, along with possible mood swings, irritability and fatigue. 🩸 Every woman’s cycle is different, which means a variety of symptoms can occur at different times. 📓 To best understand your energy fluctuations, practice tracking and journalling your cycle.
