It is MacDowell’s honor to celebrate 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗳𝗮𝘅 𝗗𝗼𝗿𝗻, co-founder and artistic director of @BallroomMarfa, with the 4th annual 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱. A nonprofit contemporary art museum and residency space dedicated to boundary-pushing and site-inspired work spanning visual art, film, music, and performance, Ballroom Marfa believes in art’s power to transform and enlighten. Nationally recognized for her advancement of the arts, Dorn is a board member of Ballroom Marfa, the @JuddFoundation, Marfa and NY; the African Environmental Film Foundation, Kenya and NY; @CalderGardens, and the @WhitneyMuseum. She received the E. William Doty Distinguished Alumna Award from the University of Texas, and along with Virginia Lebermann received @ArtTableInc’s 25th Future Women Leadership Award. In 2017, Dorn established @FairfaxDornProjects, a design collective synthesizing art and interiors. The celebration of Dorn will take place at 𝗠𝗮𝗰𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹’𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗳𝗶𝘁 at the @ZiegfeldBallroom on 𝗢𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟭𝟲. Artist @Pendleton.Adam will present her with the 4th annual #MarianMacDowellAward.
