How confident would you feel in your physical therapist if they told you they only spent ONE lecture in school learning about MS 🤷🏼‍♀️? Unfortunately, that’s the norm 🤦🏼‍♀️. Not only that... but most physical therapists don’t even know that specialzing in Multiple Sclerosis is an opportunity that exists… 👩🏼‍⚕️ hence why I was one out of four MS specialized PT’s in the entire state of Massachusetts! So what typically ends up happening is you’re treated with orthopedic PT techniques, leading to either: 1️⃣ no results, or 2️⃣ improved strength, but not improvements in walking or daily activities, or 3️⃣ you hit a plateau that you can’t break through There’s such FEW people qualified in this area... resulting in you NOT getting the results you’re looking for 🤦‍♀️.
