Homemade SUNSCREEN… AVOID the toxic sunscreens that are wreaking havoc on your hormones and go natural… Ingredients: - ½ cup olive oil - ¼ cup coconut oil (has a natural SPF 4) - ¼ cup beeswax - 2 Tablespoons non-nano zinc oxide - 2 tablespoons Shea Butter (natural SPF 4-5) Instructions: 1. Combine all ingredients in a glass jar (16 oz or larger). Add a lid loosely on the jar to cover. 2. Fill a medium saucepan with a couple inches of water. Put the glass jar in the middle of the pan and place over medium heat. 3. Shake or stir the contents of the jar as it heats and melts in the pan. 4. When all ingredients are completely melted, pour into a jar that you will use for storage. Let it cool and the sunscreen will firm into a creamy solid. 5. Use and store as you would regular sunscreen (in a cool, dry place). This sunscreen is not waterproof, so be sure to reapply it after sweating or swimming, as needed. **Please always try a test area first. Use your noggin — this is natural and will not be as powerful as your typical toxic sunscreens found on the shelves. Reapply and still use caution in the sun.** SAVE and SHARE this recipe!
