Freshly Baked & Ready to Make your Day 🥐🥖 . When you start your business from a loft during the Pandemic by lowering down a basket of 12 freshly baked croissants from your 3rd story window and see the sheer joy on people’s faces you know what your path in life is. Jeffery Brown (a Pulitzer nominated Photographer and his partner Jenny, have been recognized as the owners of the Best Bakery in US by @yelp @yelpsandiego and have been all over the media for the freshest warm baked breads and pastries. So when I was visiting San Diego as a part of @toast_to_taste West Coast expansion I had to check them out. Jenny responded to my communication and was super nice to arrange a special visit at the former Photography studio now turned into local community Izola Bistro. The ambiance with high ceilings and white walls was bright and lit with people chatting and enjoying croissants and breads over a cup of coffee. Jeff who is the AGM @izolabakery welcomed me and took me for the tour of the Bakery where I met the amazingly nice team. I learnt some great info about how each crispy buttery croissant that we enjoy at Izola is a 4 day process and has 96 layers to it . @izolabakery definitely lived up to the hype for the decadent baked goods go away fast and by 9 am they were already out of their butter croissants (I was lucky to taste them). My favorites were the Cranberry Pecan, Roasted Garlic Sourdough Bread, Chocolate Almond Croissant and the stunning Blackberry French Valrhona Chocolate Croissant. I now understand why the line is always out of the door and wish they soon have a Franchise in New York and other places for they soon open up a 18000 Sq Ft facility by the name of Izola Main in City Heights .
