This research focuses on training load demands and their relation to injuries—primarily those affecting the ankle, foot, lumbar spine, and lower leg. 🎯 Why It Matters: Ballet dancers face injury rates comparable to pro athletes. Despite the artistic nature, the physical toll is real and significant - 3.5 medical attention injuries per 1,000 hours! ⚠️ 📊 Key Findings: With rehearsal and performance time regularly exceeding 50 hours a week, injury risks are high. Interestingly, the rate of injuries correlated with week-to-week changes in dance volume, age, and rank within a ballet company.
