TODAY WE SENT OUR BELOVED FRIEND DHANUSH off to eternal peace, and he will be greatly missed. It was a life cut short far too early yet he lived to the max. We remember him for his always smiling face, his readiness for fun, hugely generous spirit and love of art, literature, culture and travel. He lived his whole life with incredible joy and sprinkled this joy everywhere he went and to all the people he touched. He was part of our family from the numerous Kenya connections and from living in HK and treating @mranandshah and @stephholdingshah and their family as his own. All my own friends became his friends. That’s how magical he was and how charismatic. *** I was lucky to have spent some quality time with him this year, always eating delicious food. The last time was @darjeelingldn for @asmakhanlondon amazing Biryani supper club which we both wanted to experience for years. We celebrated his birthday early (it’s actually this Saturday) and I was able to share how much I loved and appreciated his friendship, love and support and articulate this to him. How often do we get to say how much people mean to us? *** Food at the supper club was incredible from the gol gappa and various starters, amazing biryani (we ended up with 2 containers to go) and the delicious desserts; baby apricots in homemade syrup with cream were my favourite.
