💙💙Via @esautismjourney I'II be honest, this reel is mostly just to brag about E for a moment. But also, it's to remind people that process WILL come. I'm not exaggerating when I say we've been working on some of these skills for a couple of years. And E just recently figured them out. And that's okay! A lot of these things just don't come naturally to him, and to other autistic or developmentally delayed kids, and that's okay. I genuinely could cry, I'm so proud of E. He's had even more gains that what I listed in this reel! It felt like, for the last few months, that E's development had gone stagnant again. And now he's making all these gains at once and I'm blown away. This tends to be a pattern for him - we don't see much progress for awhile (or it's subtle) and then it's like his brain just explodes with new skills.
