What causes arthritis? The cause depends on the type of arthritis. Osteoarthritis is caused by the wear-and-tear of the joint over time or because of overuse. Inflammatory type arthritis like #Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and psoriatic #arthritis are caused by the body’s immune system attacking the body’s own tissues. Post-traumatic arthritis is inflammation in your joints that forms after you’ve experienced a trauma. It develops more quickly after an injury instead of over years of wear-and-tear #osteoarthritis . Who is at risk for arthritis?
