One of the first recipes I put up on the blog was this soft and shiny Sourdough Challah! It has a brilliantly shiny crust from a double egg wash and a soft, eggy interior. It makes a beautiful table centerpiece and some of the best French toast (if there are any leftovers). I’m by no means a challah braiding expert, but I do have step-by-step photos on how to braid this easy 4-strand challah on the recipe post. I included a sped-up timelapse here of me braiding the challah so you can see that it’s just the same pattern over and over. Easy! If you’re making it this weekend for Rosh Hashanah, you can easily braid it into a round, or double the recipe to make more challah of course.
