Embrace the baking season with this Apple Pie Cinnamon Swirl Bread🍎 I’m loving warm, comforting flavors of autumn in every bite. The delicious apple pie filling is swirled into moist apple cake, a truly irresistible treat for fall🍁 For the batter - 1½ Tbsp. flax meal - 4½ Tbsp. water - 180g(about 1½ cups) whole wheat flour - 4 ½ Tbsp. arrowroot starch - 1 ½ tsp. baking powder - ¼ tsp. baking soda - 6 Tbsp. apple butter - 6 Tbsp. maple syrup - 4 Tbsp. coconut oil - 1½ Tbsp. coconut sugar - ½ Tbsp. apple cider vinegar - 1 tsp. vanilla extract - Pinch sea salt For filling - ½ cup walnuts, crushed - ½ cup plus 3 Tbsp. apple butter - ¾ cup diced apples - 2 Tbsp. coconut sugar - 1 tsp. ground cinnamon - Pinch sea salt 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper. 2. In a small bowl, whisk together flax meal and water. Let sit for 5min until the mixture thickens. 3. In a large bowl, sift together flour, arrowroot starch, baking powder, and baking soda. In another bowl, whisk together apple butter, maple syrup, coconut oil, coconut sugar, apple cider vinegar, vanilla extract, and salt. Add the apple butter mixture into the flour and fold in. 4. Pour half of the batter into the pan and flatten the surface. Arrange walnuts in a single layer. Spoon the ½ cup apple butter and evenly spread over the walnuts. Arrange diced apples in a single layer over apple butter. Whisk together coconut sugar, cinnamon, and salt and sprinkle over the apple. Spoon the remaining batter over the sugar and flatten the surface. Dollop 3 Tbsp. of apple butter sparsely over the surface of the cake and use a knife to swirl. 5. Bake at 350°F for 35-40min until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool. Slice and enjoy!
