4 Ways to Identify if you have drop foot 🦶: 1️⃣ scuff marks in the front of your shoe (or holes) 2️⃣ scuff marks on the outer edge of your shoe 3️⃣ Scuff marks near the instep of your shoe 4️⃣ Scuff marks near the base of your toes So often, when working with my clients who have MS, I’ll notice the scuff marks on their shoe and ask if they have drop foot 🚶♀️ and they’ll say “Nope!” Or “I don’t think so”! Then sure enough… as I watch them walk, they DO have drop foot! 😳 They didn’t even know they had it and therefore didn’t know they should be doing exercises to improve it! Two of the best exercises to reduce foot drop are: 👉 Lifting your toes (when seated) 👉 Stretching your calf (when seated and standing) ...or if you’re REALLY advanced... walk on your heels.... yeah.. that’s TOUGH 😆!
